Glenfinnan Monument situated on the banks of Loch Shiel, commemorates the start of the Last Scottish revolution.
Here at the Glennfinnan Monument at the banks of Loch Shiel, Bonnie Prince Charlie set foot on Scottish soil in 1745 to lead the last Scottish revolution against the English rule so far. The place is also known as a set for filming the first part of Harry Potter.
