A diverse landscape between Halifax and Peggy's Cove along the Lighthouse Route from rugged coastline to a rocky Granite landscape.
As if driving through different worlds the landscape changes from heavily wooded coast and quaint seaside villages to seemingly barren granite rock coastline open to the elements. On closer inspection there is a lot of life among the granite rocks such as vibrant plants which change colour during the different seasons. Fall is especially spectacular when the low lying plants turn a stunning shade of crimson which is backdropped by the lush green or yellow moss and lichen.
