While staying in the Brooks Range of Alaska near the tiny community of Wiseman, approximately 250km north of the Arctic Circle, we decided to build an igloo. It was constructed over a period of two days and made of compacted snow, which we then sawed into ice bricks.
Once the igloo was built, we had to wait for the Northern Lights, since the weather changed for the worse and it was to be two weeks before we'd see the lights - at least in the right place.
With the northern lights in position and a light in the igloo I had to work quickly in minus 45 degrees celcius as the film and camera were threatening to freeze.
