The Spirit Catcher dominates the waterfront in the city of Barrie in Ontario, Canada.

The hugh 21 metre high sculpture, named the Spirit Catcher, is situated on the bank at the head of Kempenfelt Bay an arm of Simcoe Lake in the City of Barrie, Ontario. The Spirit Catcher was originally installed at the Expo 1986 grounds in Vancouver, BC. After Expo 86, the sculpture was purchased and donated to the to the Barrie Gallery Project. The Spirit Catcher was installed in the waterfront of Barrie, Ontario over two days in June 1987.
